Hi!
I am using the version 1.2m. I find a problem to assign the auction right to registered member. Everytime I assigned the right in the "Manage Permission" and click "Sumbit" the arranged right will be disordered.

Sorry I don't know how to code this error in the subject Wink

I don't know what code to give it either, because I don't quite understand what you mean. Confused

Could explain a bit more?

So does refreshing fix the problem? If it does, then this is inherent in phpbb, and you ought to go complain to them. Wink

Bump Surprised

I need to know the status of this. Did my solution fix it, or are there other problems? If this is the phpbb not refreshing issue, I need to move this thread to support. Smile

Edit: this one gets to be 21b because once again, I'm going to assume that this thread would be much more popular if everyone had the problem. Wink

Edit 2: Nevermind, I'm going to leave it without a code, because we don't know if it is the old phpbb issue, or a phpbb-auction issue.

Ok great, some fresh input on the problem! Here is a copy of the post I made in the other thread, kindly try all this stuff and report back. Smile
----------------
I -THINK- you guys have run across a problem inherent with phpbb.. NOT with phpbb-auction. If your browser is not set to auto-refresh pages on every visit, you will not see the changes that were made. I reported it to phpbb some time ago, but they didn't really seem to care.

There is a remote possibility that if you are going through a proxy, it isn't set to check for changes on every visit.

First, go to the page where the changes aren't showing up. Simply click the Refresh button. If that shows the changes, then you need to hunt down the page refresh setting in your browsers options and change it to refresh on every visit.

If that doesn't show the changes, hold down Ctrl + Alt and click the refresh button. If that shows the changes, the problem is the proxy server you are going through. If you have set up your own proxy, you will need to set it to check for changes every time. If you do not have your own proxy server, call up your ISP and tell them what is going on. You may not even know that they are using a proxy server, but if this happens, they are.

If neither of these fixes it, the next step is to close all of your browser windows (if you are using Internet Explorer, also close any windows explorer and 'Open' windows that you may have open). Go into your browser settings and empty the cache, if you had to re-open your browser to do this, close it once again. Now re-open your browser and navigate back to the page where you made changes. If you see the changes now, your cache was just being screwy. check that it's not too big, also check the date on your computer. Other than these, I wouldn't be too concerned about it. This is a common symptom of an over stuffed cache. Wink

If you STILL do not see the changes, then there is definitely a problem. If you still have a problem at this point, please report back here with a bit more details, and we'll see what we can do. Smile

If this fixes your problem and it annoys you, feel free to go to

http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewforum.php?f=1

and complain about it. Very Happy

I've tried all you suggestions, but can't change any permissions.

When I hit submit, the taged fields resets. If I tag in Registered users, the corresponding fields of moderator and Administrator are shown tagged.

Please help me on this, we've just sent out a new newsletter bragging about our new Forum with auction.

FR: You can get admin rights if you want to have a look.

PostPosted: Sun Apr 03, 2005 6:39 pm    Post subject: Sollution to the problem?? Reply with quote

I might have found the sollution to the problem. It seems like there have been added ekstra "entries" to the SQL table : auction_user_role. The sollution was allready posted here by treebeard
http://www.phpbb-auction.com/ftopic991-0-asc-15.html

The extra entries are in Line : PK_auction_role_id.

I assume the reason for this is that I've "accedentialy" excecuted the file install_db.php a few times ! Embarassed Don't ask me wy! Laughing

I deleted the extra lines, and there it was.. My problem fixed.. I hope.. Cool
